Lymphatic means 'pertaining to the lymph' or 'vessels that carry the lymph'. Lymph being the colourless or slightly yellowish fluid collected into the lymphatic vessels. But how this relates to colitis I don't know. I also can't remember exactly what the lymphatic system does (its over 10 years since I studied any biology) but remember is that fairly important, but possible to survive with out part of it.
