Question:
As of late, I have been completely paranoid about migrainous stroke. Some of the stabbing pains, that come on suddenly, have been followed by almost an unwakeable sleep. Don't know whether to call it unconscious. I think I have become really paranoid. Of course, with the *really* bad migraines (levels 8 -10) I get slurred speach really bad and can't walk a straight line. With the type of HAs I described I ALWAYS get the latter symptoms. After I awake, if the HA has eased (even if it's not *gone*) those symptoms have subsided. Any thoughts? I've become really scared. I've told my husband that if he can't awake me to call 911... but I still haven't mentioned it to the doc.
Answer:
I have worried the same myself cuz it can sure feel like it then i take the meds for it and feel like my heartbeat is all messed up so i think oh no NOW a heartattack! talk to your doc he can show you how low risk you are for a heartattack and stroke which will help ease the fear - go to the source of info when it comes to easing your mind. that fear can keep the headache going longer or intensify it too - stress isn't too good to help i have heard many many say they have the same fear soit is pretty common - but chances are the risk is pretty low of your fear coming true... though with my meds i wont take them until someone is around ... just in case
