Question:
I coauthored a book on headaches (Headache Help with Dr. Lawrence Robbins) and still could never discover my headache trigger. Then I kept a calendar for 4 months and I have finally discovered it!!!!!! In the middle of the night, I always look at my watch when I wake up. But because I have such terrible vision, I must squint to read it. Then I get a headache/migraine soon thereafter that lasts for all the next day. Now I put on my glasses to read my watch, and I haven't had a headache in two months!!! (compared to 2/week). I think the eye strain was my trigger!!!! Anyone else have that experience?
Answer:
I put on my glasses if I answer the phone in the dark. I can hear better with my glasses. Then again, when I was young and already almost blind, I would walk downstairs and to the bathroom with my eyes closed as I knew my way. My night vision is so bad that I was disoriented by seeing things that didn't look right. I am so glad you found your trigger!
