Answer:
Episodic tension-type headaches are supposed to be mild to moderate in intensity. Moderate would mean you can carry on ordinary activities, but at notably reduced efficiency; severe pretty much blocks normal activity. I am not sure how you would rate yours, but it sounds like it is in the moderate-to-severe category, not the mild-to-moderate. Post-coital headaches can be a feature of migraine. People often have more than one tpe of headache. Begin by cataloguing all the types of headache you have, then for each list the time you first had a headache of that sort. how often you have them, how long they last if untreated, the intensity, whether they are one-sided (never/sometimes/usually), whether they are aggravated by exercise such as walking or climbing stairs, whether they are pounding (pulsing or throbbing) (never/sometimes/usually), whether there is a feeling of pressure against the sides of the head or a feeling of a tight band around the head, whether there is associated nausea or vomiting (never/sometimes/usually), whether there is associated sensitivity to light (never/sometimes/usually), and whether there is associated sensitivity to sound (never/sometimes/usually). With each headache, what makes it better. With any headache, so you have changes in your visioin before or during the headache. Are there any other odd sensations in any part of your body before or during the headache. Armed with that, see a physician.
