Question:
Have any one experienced an ectopic pregnancy? What were your very first symptoms, and how soon after conception did they occur? Also (and unrelated), how common is a headache in early pregnancy? Is a headache ever a sign of something other than increasing hormones?
Answer:
Yes-I had an ectopic pregnancy. I was in the hospital for x-rays totally unrelated to preg. and they did a routine preg. test. It was positive and so they did and Hctg. It was only 55. Two days later in was 53, and rectal pain and spotting had started. They let me go to see it I would naturally miscarry, but then a pain on the left side started. Two days after that I had acute pain and they did a laparotomy. I was bleeding internally from the tube, and the pregnancy had exited into my abdomen. The tube was saved. I now have 2 kids and am due 9/7 with #3. Headaches are a normal part of first trimester .
