Headaches, naseau, flushing, could there symptoms be the result of anxiety?

Tagged As: Headaches Nausea

Question:
I was just wondering if theses symptoms could be the result of anxiety. I have a friend who suffers from these syptoms and they are becoming debilitating to her. She has been to a neurologist and he immediately said migraines and sent her our the door in 5 minutes. He gave her Immitrex and some other headache meds, including phenegran for naseau. However, she is not improving. I am encouraging her to go see a good general practitioner, preferably the one that I am seeing. However, I was just wondering if anyone knew of theses syptoms stemming from anxiety. She is under a great deal of stress with school and trying to find a job. She often just says, I just don't feel good and she won't go out or do anything. Could it even be a form of depression. I guess I have been so focused on my problems that I wonder if migraine is really the correct diagnosis for her. Any comments would be appreciated.

Answer:
I'm no doctor, but i do work with people with pad, and have suffered with this myself...and these may very well be symptoms of anxiety. i believe there are some 60 symptoms one might have. your friends symptoms might be hormonal...maybe see an endocrinologist. In an older woman, these symptoms might be menopausal. you just never know, we are all so different. hope you find a good, attentive doctor for her.
