Tagged As: Migraine Aura Without Headache

Question:
I have been diagnosed w/ migraine aura w/out headache disease. It is scary. The left side of my body is affected; right side unaffected. My left eye gets blurry, goes blank, and hallucinates. Blindness often complete though light perception is unaffected. Hallucinations usually consists of random objects and do not reflect any of my memories or experiences. I will not see certain objects that are in my field of vision (what I call negative hallucinations). There will be abnormal shapes in my eyes. I see objects upside-down. Blank spots in my left eye. Dancing zig-zag lines. And other wierd visual disturbances. Along w/ that I feel dizzy. Balance is bad. Spinning. The left side of my body gets completely numb and paralyzed. I can't talk. I lose memory. Mind blanks out. I am in one place and suddenly find myself in another and can't remember what happened in between. Sometimes I lapse into coma.

Answer:
My neurologist states that it in fact is a migraine w/out headache. The advice I was given is to avoid eating butter, cheese, betal leaf (an herb used as breath-freshener), coffee, or chocolate. The doctor calls these bad foods. He also suggested to avoid looking at 3-D designs and abstain from playing Virtual Reality games.
