Question:
I read somewhere that it was possible to have migraines without the actual headache. The problem I'm trying to solve is that I have auras that include visual problems, weakness/coldness in my hands, confusion, etc. In the past I have had migraine auras with the zig-zag lines across visual field followed by temporary blindness and severe head pain and sickness. But the problem is, now that I experience daily auras and no headache follows, I'm confused as to what the cause is? As auras can occur with migraines or seizure disorders, I'm wondering how you determine which it is without the headache. If anyone can offer any info or lead me to some websites, please e-mail me--Thanks!
Answer:
For the last 10 days I have had the same symptoms as you. I experience an aura for hours which does not develop into a full blown migraine. My head does not feel right, it's more like a dull pain or pressure. While not as painful as the migraine itself, the aura makes it very difficult to concentrate or get any work done. Needless to say, I've been practically disabled for days.
