What migraine medicine that newly authorized for over-the-counter sales?

Tagged As: Over The Counter Migraine Medicine

Question:
A friend asked about a rumor of a migraine medicine newly authorized for over-the-counter sales, or perhaps soon to be authorized. What drug might that be?

Answer:
It's probably Excedrin Migraine, which is just a relabeling of extra strength Excedrin -- aspirin, acetaminophen, caffeine. It may help some people with mild migraines, but likely won't do much if anything for intense migraines. Sorry to have to disillusion you.
