Question:
Hi, I really need some advice!! I am 5'1 and 60 lbs overweight (the heaviest I've ever been). I've been told by 4 doctors in the last 10 days to lose weight and get in shape to help a number of ailments that I experience at this time. I desperately want to lose this weight because I feel so terrible about myself but I just can't seem to stay on a Atkins diet. I dislike vegetables, salads and ww or hc frozen dinners. I don't cook so I either eat out at restaurants or have takeout everynight. When I do try to stay on a diet that includes the above food I mentioned I lose 10-15 lbs then go back to eating the food I crave (pasta, candy)then I gain it all back (plus some). Should I join a diet program that provides food for you (zonechef or Jenny Craig) or should I toughen up (somehow) and just start eating right? I desperately need some advice on how to end this destructive cycle and lose this weight once and for all. Thanks in advance for any responses and for listening

It's possible that you do like some vegetables depending on how they are prepared. I would at least make an attempt to find something you like. I found there were a number of things I used to dislike that I find very good nowadays since I know how I like them prepared. Diet programs that provide food are good for convenience, but until you learn how to eat on your own by either learning how to cook, manage your portions in restaurants, or just toughen up you won't keep off the weight you lose.
