Is my Atkins day Diet menu suitable for me?

Question:
I have been reading the ng for about 2 months- decided that Atkins was what I was looking for. I got the book and read it- sounded good so I am now in day 3. My problem is that I can't get into ketosis. My strips have been neg. everyday. My diet has been good- breakfast is eggs and bacon or sugar free jello w/2 tbsp of whip cream- lunch is pepperoni and cheese or cheeseburger minus the bun, dinner was cheeseburger minus bun and cucumber slices- for snacks I eat jello, cheese, salami, or some simular protien. I have a carb. counter and everything says I am under 20 grams a day. I am confused?? I have had diet caffiene free cokes and about 4-5 glasses of water. I looked through the book again and can't find anything on how long it takes to get into ketosis- is this normal? Sorry if the answer is under my nose- I looked and looked but couldn't find it. Answer:
Depending on your metabolic resistance, it's not too unusual that you're not in ketosis after three days. The other possiblity is that you've got some carbs sneaking in on you. Double check everything...read those lables. Make sure that nothing is getting past you. You may also want to start some mild aerobic exercise as well.
