Are there any Side Effects On Atkins Diet? How to avoid them?

Tagged As: Atkins Diet Side Effects

Question:
I have been on the Atkins diet for three weeks now and lost 12 lbs. This is the first diet I have tried. Some people I have talked to said no/low carb diets are unsafe. Dr. Atkins book did not indicate any dangers. What are the dangers and and is there a way to avoid them? What are symtoms I should watch for.

Answer:
Losing weight and an energy boost were the only two side affects I had from Atkins. And the only danger I see from that is losing to much weight and slipping between the bars on an inlet grate while you are out using up some of that extra energy. On a more serious note. I have to caution you about eating too much dairy food (i.e. cheese, cream, yogurt, butter). It can stop you up internally and in my opinion is really not meant to be comsumed by humans anyway. I have removed those foods from my diet. Good luck, I lost almost 150 pounds on Atkins you can too. =+)
