Question:
Has anybody tried his food products and if so how were they?
Answer:
I like the Atkins Bake mix, but lots of people hate it, so I think it's one of those things that you have to try by trial and error. Unfortunately, most of the products are expensive errors if you don't like them. I really hate the Atkins Chocolate Shake mix, so I'm stuck with a $14.00 mistake. Actually what I was wondering about were the chips and ice cream that are at his web site. I regularly have the Chocolate Shakes for breakfast and also found it to be not too tasty at first. Funny cause it smells really yummy but then take a drink and YUCH. Anyway, here's a way to make it a bit better. As soon as I get up in the morning I mix up the shake mix with water and a tablespoon of Splenda in a shaker container with a lid. Shake it up really good and then pop it into the freezer while getting ready for work. Every so often take it out and give it a good shake to keep it well mixed. Within a half hour to an hour the shake will have frozen up a bit and it now tastes just like a Fudgesicle. Would be worth trying even if it is just to use up the container that you bought. If you want to try a delicious protein supplement, try strawberry flavored Nitro-Tech by MuscleTech sold in any health food store. Kind of expensive, but well worth it($25-30 for a 2 lb.tub). I mix mine with Crystal Light Kiwi/Strawberry/Banana flavor, and it's awesome. Just to see, I even tried it with plain water once,...not bad. It lasts me about one month, and I use it every day for multiple meal replacements. One scoop: 130 cals., 1.5 fat, 3.5 carbs, 24 protein. Look around you can find better deals I get my whey protein powder at the muscle shop for about 29.00 for 5 pounds. I usually mix mine with berries.
