Here it is! I tried it and lost 4 lbs in 4 days but didn't feel well. So much of this soup caused stomach cramps. Basic Fat Burning Soup From Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital Used for overweight heart patients to loose weight rapidly before surgery. Ingredients( you can eat chicken at day five and day six) 6 large green onions 1 or 2 cans of tomatoes 1 head of cabbage 2 green peppers 1 bunch celery 1 package Lipton soup mix (onion is good) 1 can V-8 juice Season with salt, pepper, curry, parsley, bullion or hot sauce if desired. Preparation Cut vegetables into small to medium pieces (I shredded the cabbage) and cover with water. Boil fast for 10 minutes, then let simmer and continue to cook until vegetables are tender. Add remaining ingredients (soup mix, V-8). This soup can be eaten any time you are hungry. Eat as much as you want, whenever you want. This soup will not add calories. The more you eat the more you will loose. Fill a thermos in the morning if you will be away during the day. If eaten for an indefinite period of time, you would suffer from malnutrition. Diet Procedure Day one: You may eat all the fruits except bananas. Cantaloupe and watermelon are lower in calories than most fruits. Eat only the soup and fruits today. For drinks you may have unsweetened tea or coffee, cranberry juice, juice or water. Day Two: You may eat all the vegetables you wish. Eat until you are stuffed. ou may eat all the fresh rew or canned vegetables you wish. Try to eat leafy vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat this with the soup. At dinner time on this day reward your self with a baked potato and butter. Do not eat any fruit! Day Three: Eat all the soup, fruit and vegetables you want. No baked potato today! If you have eaten for three days, as above, and have not cheated, you may have lost 5 - 7 pounds by now! Day Four: Bananas and skim milk are permitted today. Eat as many as 3 bananas and drink as many glasses of water as you can on this day, along with the soup. Bananas are high in potassium, carbohydrates and so is milk, and on this particular day your body will need potassium, carbohydrates, protein and calcium to lessen your craving for sweets. As always, eat as much soup and fresh vegetables as you desire. Day Five: You may eat beef or chicken and tomatoes. You may have 10-20 ounces of beef and either a can of tomatoes or all the fresh tomatoes you wish. Try to drink 6-8 glasses of water on this day to wash away uric acid in your body. Eat the soup at least once today. Day Six: Today beef or chicken and vegetables. Eat to your heart's content. You may eat 2 or 3 steaks if you wish and all the green leafy vegetables you wish, but no baked potato! Be sure to eat the soup at least once today. Day Seven: Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and vegetables. All you want. Be sure to have the soup at least once today. At the end of the seventh day if you have not cheated on the above diet, you will have lost 10 - 17 pounds. If you have lost more than 15 pounds, stay off the diet for 2 days before resuming the diet again for one day. Because everyone's digestive system is different, this diet will affect everyone differently. After day 3 you will have more energy than when you began, if you did not cheat. After being on the diet for several days, you will find your bowel movements have changed. Eat a cup of bran for fiber. Although you can have black coffee with this diet, you will find that your desire for caffeine will be greatly reduced after the third day. Definite NO NOs: Bread, alcohol, carbonated drinks, including diet drinks are forbidden. Stick with water, unsweetened fruit juices or cranberry juice and skim milk. The Soup can be eaten any time you feel hungry. Eat as much as you wish. The more soup you eat the more you will loose. No fried foods. You can eat broiled or baked chicken (skinless) instead of beef. The seven-day eating plan can be used as often as you like. As a matter of fact, if correctly followed, it will clean your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. This diet does not lend itself to drinking any alcohol beverages because of the removal of the fat build up in your system. Go off the diet for at least 24 hours before the intake of alcohol. Any prescribed medications will not hurt you on this diet. Continue this plan as long as you wish and as long as you feel the difference both physically and mentally
