I am looking for information on Humira for Crohn's???

Question:
Do any of you have experience with Humira? It is approved for rheumatoid arthritis but not Crohn's. It has been through clinical trials for Crohn's with success rates similar to Remicade.

Answer:
Data from an analysis of 55 patients with moderate to severely active Crohn's disease who achieved clinical remission through treatment with Humira(R) (adalimumab) show 74% of patients maintained clinical remission through continued treatment with Humira every other week (EOW) for 1 year. I got my first injection on Friday.  Started with 80mg (two injections) for the first dose, then 40mg (one injection) every two weeks thereafter.   I built up antibodies to remicade, and am suffering a big battle with pyoderma gangrenosum (crohn's on the skin, primarily).   After two days, I already see an improvement.  No reactions (not even injection site) to the humira.
