Question:
I've been in a stall for over nine weeks now and I've got to admit that I'm about ready to chuck LC for something else, probably a diabetic diet plan.I've done some research on diabetic diet plans and I do know some people who are using this method to lose weight and it does work. I lost 50 pounds in the first 90 days of LC with relative ease, but since mid June I've stayed at the same weight,+ or - a pound here and there and it's very discouraging. Stalls are inevitable but nine weeks?!.....damn! I'm not doing anything differently now than I had been doing over the past 4 months but for whatever reason the weight has stopped coming off and I still need to lose an additional 30 -40 pounds. I need some advice folks. What can I do to break this stall and get the weight loss started again?
Answer:
The major change would be to foods that are much higher in carbs and lower in fat albeit on a limited scale. Here is a typical day on a diabetic diet meal plan. Breakfast: 2 slices whole wheat toast 4 teaspoons natural peanut butter 1/2 banana 8 oz. 1% milk Lunch Lettuce, radish & cucumber 1/2 cup carrots 1 cup diced green pepper 3/4 cup tuna packed in water 2 tbs. non fat ranch dressing 10 small green olives 12 saltine crackers 1 peach Water Dinner 5 oz. sirloin steak 1/4 cup cooked onions 1/4 cup cooked mushrooms 1 teaspoon canola oil for sautéing veggies 1/2 cup cooked spinach 1 med. baked sweet potato 2 tbs. sour cream Water Snack 8 oz. skim milk 1 1/4 cup strawberries blend with ice to make a shake I think I might give it a go for a week or two to see what happens.
