Question:
Just throwing in my experiences: Seven years ago my friend and I tried medifast. Upon starting I weighted 330 and he 360. I went heavily into the excersize part of medifast and quickly dropped down to 250 but dropped out at that point as I moved halfway accross the country. My friend stayed on but ignored the exercize and endded up at 220. My weight stablized in 270s. After my friend got off the program he got gained back all the weight and quite a bit more. Can anyone here help me about liquid diet medifast ?
Answer:
In 1989 and 1990 I did the Medifast thing. I lost about 70 lbs but I simply found the whole thing impossible to live with. The human body is meant to be fed and we are designed to eat --- it is unnatural to NOT eat. There was a man who had gone through the program who had lost something like 200 lbs and they kept trotting him out as their big success. He looked better before he lost the 200 lbs. His skin was loose and flabby and he looked malnourished as hell. Even when you look at pictures of Oprah when she lost weight fasting, she did not look that healthy -- not like she looks now. I personally find the Atkins plan the best for me -- however, everyone is different. My theory is that whatever you do -- eat fresh unprocessed food -- fresh vegetables, fresh meat and poultry, fresh fruit. But most importantly, YA GOTTA EAT!
