Is there Liquid Dietary Supplement Liquid Without Soy ?

Tagged As: liquid diet supplement

Question:
My mother is recovering from surgery on her tongue for verrucous carcinoma, so is on a liquid diet until the swelling of her tongue subsides enough to allow a normal diet. She was drinking Ensure until it apparently caused diarrhea, quite possibly an allergic reaction to the soy products in Ensure. Is there another liquid dietary supplement that does not contain soy products ? Thanks in advance.

Answer:
I know this is a long list, sorry. you can check the ingredients again. I got the list from 'The Harriet Lane Handbook14th edition. Ask her doc, but im sure the ones that say 'for patients needing more calories from fat' probably wont be a problem considering she is recovering from a surgical procedure and is elderly.(or near there). just because it says its used incertain patients does not exclude it for your mother, unless a normal GI tract is needed and she does not have one.
