Anyone help me about liquid protein diet

Tagged As: liquid protein diet

Question:
Dunring fasting with the aid of liquid proteins, has there been reported an occurence of increased creatinin in the blood? Anyone help me about liquid protein diet ? Thanks you !

Answer:
I don't know about creatinine levels, but I know that fasting with the aid of liquid protein has caused an increase in the death rate among dieters who do not have their blood levels of potassium and calcium monitored daily (as in an in-patient hospital setting)! If you have a lot of weight to lose, may I suggest a higher-protein, LOW-CARB approach such as those detailed in the books Protein Power and Enter the Zone? They work well, fast, and don't leave you a bit hungry. And they don't leach potassium and calcium from your body, possibly causing heart attacks and a host of other probs that can be attributed to liquid protein fasting. If you do fast w/liquid protein, do it in a controlled setting where you're blood values can be monitored VERY FREQUENTLY! Good luck,
