Answer:
first off. when i was twelve i freaked because i hit three digits. wanted to lose weight. became anorexic. hospitalized four times, one heart attack and now my digestive system is failing. now 24 and bulimic. i wish i had NEVER tried to lose that initial weight. nothing is wrong with the number 100. its just a number. every normal person hits it. and they can go on and live healthy happy lives. its normal. abnormal is being afraid of a number. ah , the naitivity of a thirteen or fourteen year old. commercials are made for one reason. to get you to spend your money. they also make commercials for bud light. they also make ads for cigarettes. dont tell me you dont know how many people have died from alcoholism, drunk driving, and lung cancer. dexatrim is one thing. cheap speed. thats it. period. no, they dont work. they wire you so you cant sleep, act like a fool, and get all nervous and jittery and feel you are going insane. there are no fast quick weight loss gimicks that work. eating properly and exercising are the only real stay put weight loss solutions. and without any problems, well, as long as you dont mind having a heart attack, or the cold sweats or anxiety or iness, youll be fine. Your are by no stretch of the imagination 'fat'. You do not need to lose weight at all. Diet pills are a bad idea, especially when do don't need them. They are intended for people who are extremely obese and need a kick start into losing weight. Just because they are being sold doesn't mean they have no problems. Think about cigarettes, they can kill, but they are still sold. Think about laxatives, I have ruined my digestive system by taking them, the ones which I abused are being discontinued in the UK as they can cause so much damage. Drugs that cause damage and kill are sold very easily. The drugs companies want to make money and don't seem to be bothered about what they product can do. If you still think you need diet drugs then visit your doctor. If you really do need to lose weight then you should be under medical supervision. It sounds like you do need help not the kind you are aware of now. Counselling would be more productive so you can work through the problems that make you feel fat at 100 lbs. Dream on. They will wreck your health and your life. Eat healthy and exercise, get fit. But diet pills can be dangerous. Also once you stop them you will put back on your wieght and possible more. Getting addicted to them will probably kill you. Healthy eating and execising is much healthier and will concentrate on making you fit rather than losing weight. Please do not take the diet pills. Diet pills make your mind race. Yes there are many commercials for them and you can buy many similar kinds over the counter. They are not the answer. They will not make you feel any better about yourself. You will just become very hyper and feel like you are crawling out of your skin. I took diet pills from the doctor and took dexatrim. My nerves were so bad from them I finally quit taking them but my mind still raced for quite a while. If you weigh 100 poounds, you are not fat and you do not need any pills--talk to someone about how you feel about you!!!!!!! You're so young, don't start on the road to an eating disorder and constantly being obsessed with weight/food, please! When I was 16, I went on my first diet, and that was the start of my problems... if only I had known then that I should have started exercising, and eaten more healthfully, instead of crash dieting, etc... You're even younger, probably still growing; if you cut back on what you eat, you could interfere with your body's growth mechanism. Twnkle528, read some of the posts here and see the suffering here... do you want to be fighting an ED for the rest of your life? Regardless of your weight do not take diet pills. Things remain on the market because people buy them or get taken off the market because too many people die or get serious illnesses. Both have happened with diet pills (commerical ones like Dexatrim, natural ones with ephedrine, and prescribed ones as well). I am 28 and I know how they can almost kill you. If you want to lose weight, go talk to your doctor. She/he will tell you to eat less and/or exercise more. It might make you think more about why you think you have to lose weight and also just like anything else it is best to get several opinions (besides your own).
