How successful and easy to follow the practical clinic online diet plan was ?

Tagged As: online diet plan

Question:
I posted this a couple days ago, but it looks like it didn't show up. If it did, and I'm repeating myself - sorry! Anyway, I was just curious if anyone has tried the Practical Online Diet Clinic located at http://www.selfhelptech.com. It looks like a decent plan and they actually give you a date based on your information to when you'll lose your first 10 pounds. Each week they give you a shopping list and they have online meetings and everything. It's just $9 a month, but it's $20 to start so before putting in the money and finding it's not worth it, I wanted to see if anyone had tried it at all and how successful and easy to follow it was? Thanks for any info!

Answer:
We get a LOT of spammers in here trying to sell products, sometimes by posing as people searching for info on them. So anything that discusses a product or service and tells where to buy it and how much it costs is suspect (even if you aren't selling it). As for your question, I took a look at the site myself. I don't know about you, but I don't know if I could stick to a meal plan written by someone else. I mean, if I had my own personal cook, and they wanted to do the shopping and the cooking, then that would work pretty well! But to have to follow a specific menu written by someone else, and have to buy the groceries they told me to buy, and then prepare it myself -- that would probably get old real fast for me. On the other hand, it looks like you have a lot of input into the type of plan you want (with options including low fat, low sugar, low sodium, high fiber; exclude meat, eggs or dairy if you want; go with convenience foods or recipes; etc.). Doesn't look like low-carb is an option. And it has you getting real supermarket foods, rather than buying products from them (at least at first glance), which is good. If the person running it actually has the credentials she claims to have, it might be interesting to try. It sounds like an online version of Weight Watchers. I think this program may make sense if you're single (it would be more difficult if you have a family, unless they're willing to follow the plan too).
