Question:
I have been following the weight watchers diet plan for the past year. Now I am pregnant and I need to start eating differently but I am not sure how. I was told the WW has a diet for pregnant women but I am wondering if it works? I would like to hear more details of the diet and experiences from women who have tried it. Has anyone used the weight watchers pregnancy diet plan ?
Answer:
You'll learn more when you get your hands on the WW info., but it's not really a diet, but a food plan for sensible weight gain while pregnant. I wish I had followed it--but got off to a bad start by reading the What to Expect When You're Expecting book re: pre-natal nutrition--they advocate LOTS of food, especially protein (even my female OB-GYN wasn't thrilled with their recommendations). The important thing is to be sure you're eating ENOUGH now, and of the right foods. Also, I would think the WW plan would help you will urges (my appetite was over the top, as I recall)--you can still do meetings, etc. You're just not weighed in--and I think you need a Drs. note to start. That's all I know--good luck and hope you have a good pregnancy!
