I have been weight training regularly for 1 year 3 times a week. Since I have been weight training I have noticed a definate gain in muscle and weight. I was disturbed when I realized that I have gained 15 lbs in a year. I went from 125lbs to 140lbs. I am 5'5. I also do cardio 3 times a week for 30 minutes, jogging or walking. My diet if anything has improved or I think it has. I don't eat alot of junk I just notice i eat alot more than I used to. I was told to eat every few hours to maintain my muscle and keep up my metabolism. My measurements have all increased as well. My thighs have increased by 2 inches, my waist by 2 inches. My hips have stayed the same. What am I doing wrong? I definately feel stronger but I also feel heavier. Should i eat less? Can anyone give me ideas for the amount of food I should be eating. A sample weight gain diet plan that works for someone out there might be helpful to me. Also, what supplements should i be taking? I was taking ephedrine but stopped. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. How long does a person continue to gain muscle and weight? Or is this fat I'm gaining?

Yes it is impossible to gain so much weight so fast. But it's not a bad thing to gain muscle and fat. Reason being many bodybuilders in the off-season when time to put on weight/muscle ppick up some fat to. In season they go on a pre-competition diet that allows them to lose the body fat they put on while putting on muscle. You are doing a good job, keep it up. Stay on your fitness plan. But! Yes you will eat more cause you are working out hard and eating small meals every few hours. This in itself allow you to speed up your metabolism. Just make sure you have a protein shake or some protein before bedtime. I mean a low carb, low in fat protein shake. So there is no drop in muscle building through the night. With the weight you are now you should be shooting for 150 to 200 grams of protein a day to maintain and to keep building muscle.
