Question:
Can you describe the South Beach diet? South Beach is really neat so you've aroused my curiosity.

Answer:

It was writen by a cardiologist dr. Arthur Agatston. It is neither low carb or low fat, it is more good fat (olive oil, canola oil) and good carb (vegetables, whole grains bread, whole wheat pasta and rice) Phase one You will eat normal helpings of meat, chicken, turkey, fish and shellfish, plenty of vegetable, eggs, nuts and you will have salads with real olive oil. Phase two At phase 2 you should be 8 to 13 pounds lighter. Then you had the good carb: whole-grain bread, whole-wheat pasta, fruits, even chocolate (in moderation). You stay on phase two until you reach your goal. Phase three You are at this stage for the rest of your life. There is no restricted food, but you should learn what is good and what is not. If you slide, go back to phase one for a week and maintain your weight loss.
