Can the 3 day cardiac diet make a optimistic impact on me?

New to your group, and trying to decide which plan I can use to finally fit back into a lot of my clothes! A friend gave me a copy of a three day cardiac diet, and I would like to know if anyone has tried this one and if and how it works? Okay everybody. The cardiac diet is listed below. Save your money. I've had this passed to me from various people trying to lose weight. Does it work? It worked for me. Not ten pounds. Not even five. I lost four pounds in one week. Four pounds of what? I couldn''t even begin to guess but then I'm not overwieght either. I just tried it to shed some holiday binging. My opinion is that this lets people taste healthier foods to 'convince' them that they can survive on something other that whatever is fried or baked. Matt This is what I got: Cardic Unit of the Birmingham Alabama Hospital This diet is from the Birmingham Alabama Hospital Cardiac Unit for patients who need to lose lots of weight in a hurry before heart surgery. It is possible to lose up to 40 pounds per month. This diet works on a chemical breakdown and is proven to work. Do not vary or substitute any of the foods. Salt and pepper may be used, but no other seasonings. This diet is to be used 3 days at a time. In 3 days you should lose 10 pounds. After 3 days of dieting you can eat your usual food, but don't over eat. Your stomach has adjusted to the smaller meals. After 4 days of normal eating, start back on your 3 day diet. First Day Breakfast Black coffee or tea 1 Grapefruit or juice 1 slice toast 2 tablespoons peanut butter Lunch 1 cup tuna or salmon 1 slice bread Coffee or tea Dinner 2 slices of any type meat (2 oz) 1 cup string beans 1 cup beets or carrots 1 small apple 1 cup vanilla ice cream Second Day Breakfast Black coffee or tea 1 egg 1 slice of toast 1/2 banana Lunch 1 cup cottage cheese or tuna 5 saltine crackers Diner 2 Wieners (franks) 1 cup broccoli or cabbage 1/2 cup carrots 1/2 banana 1/2 cup vanilla Ice cream Third day Breakfast Black coffee or tea 5 saltine crackers 1 ounce chedder cheese 1 small apple Lunch 1 hard boiled egg 1 slice toast Coffee or tea Dinner 1 cup tuna 1 cup beets or carrots 1 cup cauliflower or greens 1 cup cantelope 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream Grocery list for the 3 day diet: Coffee or Tea Grapefruit 1 apple 2 cantelope 8 oz banana Bread 4 slices Peanut Butter chedder cheese 1 oz Tuna 3 cups or 24 oz (one medium size can is 6 oz) meat 4 oz or 2 slices string beans 1 can carrots 1 can (canned vegatables are usually 14 oz) beets 1 can cauliflower 1 cup vanilla ice cream 2 cups eggs 2 saltine crackers 10 crackers hot dogs 2 broccoli 1 cup 1 cup = 8 oz
