I'm taking 3 day cleansing diet.We did no wheat, processed food, sugar, dairy, legged animal meat (small portions of fish allowed for dinner), alcohol or caffeine and took a light herbal supplement. Ate tons of vegetables and fruit are were allowed two slices of rye bread per day. We went out for dinner last night and I had a regular meal and two beers. (Isn't it funny how women won't order beer when they go out but if one woman orders a beer everyone does? Well, in my circle of friends, anyway) This morning I woke up and was still down 4 lb.Can anyone explain to me about this?

I'll say upfront that I don't believe that a 3 day cleansing diet is going to do anything dramatic like clear 30 lb of old waste products out of your digestive system. It did make us feel quite powerful for having completed it, and we did learn some new habits. I think it would be very good for someone who wants to start a new diet, or to cut back on salt or alcohol. It's a good fresh start. If you Google detox or cleansing diets, you will find lots of commercial products. I just went to the health food store for a tonic and looked at some of their suggestions. I don't know if this detoxes you all that much, but it certainly gives your system a rest.
