Diet and Health FAQ

What kind of additives are in the military's diet, and what effects do they have?

Tagged As: 3 Day Military Diet

Question:
Certainly the government should be feeding raw food to the military. What kind of additives are in the military's diet, and what effects do they have? Someone mentioned that a completely-raw diet is difficult and expensive to store in mass quantities, and the world would be a lot hungrier and poorer financially if we tried it.

Answer:
No, the government(FDA) is not always out for our best interest. They have a strong relationship with the USDA. They work closely with the farmers for their sake. They are primarily interested in economics and not necessarily our health. We must be independent enough to look out for ourselves, our health, and our family and pets health. The government, is sadly NOT going to do this for us. There are many, many individuals like myself who are committed to educating the public toward better health. Any public place where food is served traditionally i.e. school cafeterias, the military, restaurants, factory foods, etc. all contain some of the very same additives we've been discussing lately. They are harmful diets, yes. Though we need quality fresh foods in our diets, those who need them the most(youth, students, thruout pregnancy, childbirth, and nursing, the military, hospitals, nursing homes, etc. sadly often do not receive them. Many who come home from staying in a hospital, school or military environment are often sick or sicker than before. Again, the effects which can occur over the long-term are--degenerative diseases, intestinal disorders, heart, liver, pancreas enlargement and malfunction, kidney dysfunction, infertility, offspring defects, and the list goes on.... We must remember the damage takes its toll over the long-term, while it also depends on the individuals nutritional status, their personal tolerance level, the quantities and frequency of the damaging ingredients used. It is not a simple matter nor one to take lightly. The same diseases and illnesses which occur in humans, animals and birds can develop as well. I must add that a mostly fresh diet is extremely affordable. It takes little electricity, little time to prepare, and is simple to serve. On the other hand, a commercial diet is always going to be generally higher priced for it to be lucrative to its makers and not affordable by all. While it may be convenient, the price tag may not be. Also, many offer both fresh foods and a commercial feed, therefore they are going to the same amount of work preparing the fresh foods while paying for the bagged' food too! We don't need both if one is sufficent. I won't be repetitive and say which one I choose.:)
