Any comments or advice for me to lose weght with adipex weight lose diet?

Question:
A local weight loss clinic here is prescribing Wellbutrin to patients for diet. I know this drug has been used successfully for those wishing to quit smoking, I'm wondering if it is as effective for weight loss. This doctor also prescribes Adipex along with it. The price is reasonable, $635.00 for a one year program that includes unlimited one on one counseling, all meds and all office visits. The meds are dispensed there in the office. Wellbutrin I could get from my HMO, Adipex is not covered, and my PCP doesn't prescribe it anyway. Any comments or advice?

Answer:
I am using Wellbutrin and phentermine (similar to Adipex) for weight loss. It works extremely well for me. The Wellbutrin cuts out food cravings (as it cuts out smoking cravings for smokers) and the phentermine lessens my appetite overall. Anyway, I have lost 32 pounds in three months - and I feel like I could be on this diet forever as it is not hard at all for me. Also, this is the first time in my life - after several decades of trying many other methods of trying to lose weight - that I have actually been able to stay on a diet during PMS. I don't believe that the drugs by themselves will cause you to lose much weight, but that they make lessening your calorie intake much easier. P.S. 32 pounds in three months is probably not too fast for me as I run three miles a day and walk five miles a day - which I would never have been able to keep up if I was not on the drugs and eating sugar.
