Question:
My doctor found that, at 74, I've never had a test for colon cancer. No symptoms either, just a conscientious doctor (darn it!). Test requires a clear liquid diet all day before plus all morning until the test at noon.. His suggestions on a printed sheet include: fruit juices you can see through, jello, beef/chicken bouillon, 7-Up, coke, coffee, popcicles (?), water. Obviously the jello and 7-Up will be the sugar free variety, but anyone have any other helpful ideas?
Answer:
I think you need to slap your doctor with a brick and have him refer you to a dietician who can go over your diabetic food and caloric needs before risking your health with a day on a clear liquid diet that may cause you to bounce or go hypoglycemic, especially during the night.
