Question:
I am 57 years old and I am struggling with my weight! I need to lose about 30 lbs....which is a lot of weight cause I am only 5'1. For thirty years I have had crohns disease which causes diarrhea (10 to 30 times a day)....and I have been in remission for the past 3 years...and I use to struggle to keep the weight on so this is kind of new to me! This extra weight makes me feel so uncomfortable. I bought the South Beach Diet book and the Atkins Diet book. I think the South Beach diet sounds more healthy and I was wondering if anyone can advise me about it? Do you like it? What is the average weight loss? Is it hard to follow? Thank you all in advance!
Answer:
The South Beach Diet book claims on its front cover that you lose belly fat first on the diet. That's my main clue to its worth as a diet. My bull shit detector hits 11 just from that. If you think that any diet can control *where* you lose the fat from, I have a bridge that I know you'd just love to buy. Eat less, eat healthier and exercise more. Tonia
