I was given a 60 day trial to Jenny Craig for a present. I've tried it for a week. The problem is that the food is WAY too high in sodium for me. I have high blood pressure and it normally runs about 140 over 70 WITH medication. Being on this food for five days, my BP has jumped to 160 over 90!!! I just can't do their food. They may be able to offer me some lower sodium options at my next appointment, so I'm willing to check that out. In the meantime, I thought I'd ask what other people have tried for frozen 'diet' foods. I haven't looked at labels in the supermarket yet. While I realize I'm better off eating 'real' food, I like the simplicity and portion control of 1 prepared meal a day. has anyone tried south beach diet frrozen dinner ? Thanks for any input.

I tried it for a while. I did lose some weight, but I couldn't stand all the white, starchy food. I sometimes have South Beach diet frozen entrees (had their pizza for dinner tonight), but like most packaged foods, their sodium content is higher than is desirable. I've heard that Healthy Choice and Weight Watchers are better in this regard, but I've never checked. White starchy food - bingo!! It's either too salty or too peppery too. They don't have a low sodium plan so I'm on my own. I looked at all the frozen dinners - the sodium is high. I'll really have to plan out what to eat.
