I have read on this NG for some time that a diet that controls insulin levels (like a 40/30/30 diet) is good for your hair. I think that Spencer is on some sort of insulin modulating diet, though I don't know the specifics. I have been pointed to something recently that has shaken the foundation of the 40/30/30 diet for me, and I'd like to share the info about zone diet products with everyone on this NG: http://www.drmcdougall.com/debate.html Note that I am not slamming Barry Sears or the Zone diet at all -- I'd just like to hear from those who have been on a Zone diet for some time... Are you happy with those Zone diet products?
