Question:
I was just recently diagnosed as having Crohns and I have a whole lot of questions my doctor didn’t have the time that day to answer as he was already late for a surgery. Anyway here goes: I also have irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerated colon, esphogitis, acid reflux, a severe problem with bladder control due to Spina Bifida as well as chronic depression (am I a laboratory rat for some insane diety of pain or something?) And consequently am on a variety of meds which means a variety of side effects: the worst one so far is a feeling of being totally spaced out which I get within a short time after taking the medications. Does anyone have a suggestion to lessen the effects of this sensation? It’s so bad at times I'll hit the button to open a computer program and by the time it opens I've forgotten why I opened it. I DONT LIKE THAT. What is the difference between IBS and Crohns? What kind of crap can I look forward to in the future? I've heard that Crohns COULD be fatal. Is this true?
Answer:
You do seem to have your fill of problems. I did have problems with certain meds spacing me out but they were strong pain meds, lortab I believe. Possibly a list of what Pharmacological companies are benefiting from your services and the names of the meds might render some more specific remedies.
