I suffer terribly from Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). The symptoms have got so bad that I find it impossible to lead a normal life. Does anybody know of any sources of information on this subject? Especially any information regarding a cure?

Answer:
We have had remarkable success in controlling and in some cases totally overcoming the symptoms in a number of gastrointestinal disorders, including IBS. There are a number of research papers confirming this. METHODS: A validated quality of life questionnaire including questions on symptoms, employment and health seeking behaviour was administered to 25 patients treated with hypnotherapy (aged 25-55 years; four male) and to 25 control irritable bowel syndrome patients of comparable severity (aged 21-58 years; two male).
