Question:
After trying to get pregnant this last month, and waiting more than 3wks after trying, I found out at the doc's office that I am not pregnant after HCG quantative test. What worries me the most is that I have not have my period for more than 40 days, which is unusual for me. I always have monthly mens. The doctor said probably is related to stress. Funny I have had stress every month of my last 5 years, but not missed any period. The doctor told me to wait 2 weeks until the period probably happening. I do not know what to do if the period does not come in two weeks. I am 33 y.o., is it any chance I may not get periods again ..(I know it sounds silly, but I have strangely seen some of white hair in my brown hair..) I have not had any children before this-is my first try. Anybody with experience-not having periods for some time, how soon after that did you get your periods back again and when did you get pregnant after that?
Answer:
If you don't get a period again in an amount of time that suits you, see your Dr again. There are medications that can jump start your period. Or maybe even herbs (if you're interested). If you just stopped birth control pills it could just be your body going back to it's normal cycle. I always thought I was 2 weeks late when I came off the pill to have my first baby. My cycle is just very long. Another thing that can happen is you can have an implantation that started but didn't survive. A tiny quantity of Hcg early on signals the body not to menstruate, and it takes a while for the new message to get across. THis has happened to me several times: once my period was delayed until 25 days after ovulation, once it was only 2-3 days late.
