Spotting during early pregnancy... ?

Tagged As: Spotting During Early Pregnancy

Question:
I have done pregnancy test using Rite-aid one step my 42nd day. And it turned out positive!!! I have also been to doctor and waiting for my blood test (Hope he gives a positive result too..I will come to know of it today). I am very anxious as this is our first baby. This will be my 6th week. However today I found spotting in my vaginal discharge . It was as thin as thread. Is this common? Is it common to have white/yellowish egg-white discharge during this time.

Answer:
At six weeks, your baby is just under 2.5 mm long, about 0.1 inch. I have an image of our baby at six weeks. If you'd like to see it, please send me e-mail (remove nospam. from my address). A little implantation bleeding isn't unusual, as long as what you see isn't copious and isn't bright red, it's probably normal. My DW Lily has been having white/yellowish egg-white discharge all along. In the third trimester, it can get pretty heavy. Doctor's test also turned out positive. However, I found spotting again on Friday and on Sunday morning. No cramps or anything. I went to Urgent care immd. They tested my urine and blood. They could not find any infections in my urine sample. They measured about 47,100 hcg in my blood. I am having one more check-up done tomorrow (blood test) by my regular PCP. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is nothing serious and our baby is doing fine inside.
