Question:
I've been lurking here for some time, as DH and I are TTC. I've only discussed these attempts with one friend, and she's said some things that have got me worried. Hopfully someone here can help... My last period -- I thought -- was on Sept. 12th. Prior to that, it was Aug. 11th. The reason I say 'I thought' is that after I described it to my girlfriend, she said she wouldn't call what I had in Sept. a 'period'. I bled for just under three days, and never enough to require a tampon, or even a maxi-pad, I was comfortable with panty liners. I had some cramping, but it was mild, compared to my usual. Also, my usual period is about 4-5 days long, and while not 'heavy', definitely heavier than described above. I expected my period in Sept. on the 9th, and had taken a preg. test on the ninth, and the eleventh, both negative. Since then, I've read here that false negatives are possible. I took another test about a week ago, and it was neg. as well.
Answer:
I think you got cut off again, but here is a response to what you did get down: ) I would go to your doctor, and have them give you a blood test - it is more sensitive and can detect a pregnancy before a home pregnancy test. Also, retest. But, if your doc does a blood test, and that comes out negative, you probably aren't pregnant, and just had a lite (albiet really lite) period. Sometime the words of friends, although said with love, cause more worry than good.
