Question:
My morning sickness started 8 days after the estimated conception date. I know it wasn't psychosomatic because I didn't even know I was pregnant then, and it wasn't confirmed until almost a month and a half later.
Answer:
You're going to hate me, but I didn't actually get morning sickness!!! But a girlfriend of mine has just recently (3 days ago) had #2 boy and she was sick literally from day 1. My grandmother was vomiting all day every day when she was pregnant with my mother and it started almost immediately and didn't stop. The most I had was feeling a little sick at times (especially after a banana thickshake from McDees!!). My bra size did increase dramatically though which was great while it lasted!! I've never worn so many low cut tops in my life!!! But alas, they have gone!!! But seriously, my friend's morning sickness was what gave it away for her that she was pregnant. Like me, she had irregular periods even though she was on contraception and it wasn't until she started feeling really bad all the time that she considered she could be pregnant. And here I am, an auntie again to yet another one of her beautiful boys!!! Isn't childbirth great ??? I'm still nauseous 20 out of 24 hours each day, but my first test came back negative. It was taken on day 19 and the doctor warned me it would probably be too early even if I am pregnant. None the less, it was disappointing to hear negative. How much longer should I wait before the next blood test? I was thinking another week or so if I continue to have symptoms (nausea, fatigue, enlarged and tender breasts, disinterest in certain foods and a suddenly amazingly clear complexion). I really do appreciate all the advice I can get. The doctors treat you pretty much like a nut case when it's so early -- but I've been sick for a week already! I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for the support you provided this last (very long) week. I got my period this morning. Although I'm somewhat sad, I'm relieved to have some answers. I have no idea why I had such clear pregnancy symptoms the last 10 days. It's hard for me to tell how I'm feeling today because my cramps and backache are much worse than usual.
