Early pregnancy nausea - when?

Tagged As: Nausea In Early Pregnancy

Question:
One week ago my SO and I made love, with me thinking that it was later in the month than it really was. Major oops. This morning I realized that I feel a bit - different. Coffee seems distasteful, I'm a bit nauseous, and things are not quite right. My last pregnancy was planned, but I felt no early symptoms that I recognized at the time, possibly because I was busy running a workshop that I'd been planning for almost two years. Whatever I did feel I attributed to stress and exhaustion. Please tell me that how I feel today is probably the result of being up a lot of last night with a sick baby. Pregnancy would be disastrous right now. But please also tell me if you felt pregnant this early and what you felt.

Answer:
I know it varies widely among women, but I've been pregnant 4 times (3 ectopic and 1 wonderful son) and almost every time I felt nauseated within about a week of conceiving. When I was pregnant with my son, I was just drinking a cup of tea one morning and ended up tossing cookies. I also couldn't stand broccoli when I was pregnant with my son. When I got pregnant again, before I had any other inkling, I realized that I couldn't stand the broccoli I was eating, and sure enough... Yet another time, just a car ride left me with car sickness that lasted all day and the nausea felt slightly different....once again, I knew before any tests could prove the fact.
