I am looking for some information on small bowel obstruction - - what are the tests that would show a diagnosis, and what is the treatment? Would be grateful for any info on the subject

A small bowel obstruction would show up in a x-ray (upper GI with small bowel series) (for CD in the small intestine) also, a Doctor can press on the abdom. and feel the loop extension (hardness) You would have abdom. Cramping and it's painful! In Crohn's disease, an obstruction ca be caused by inflamed intestinal tissue that swells and causes an obstruction. I suffer from small (partial) bowel obstruction due to CD. As noted by someone else here, one treatment is surgery. But I follow a strict no vegetables, no fruit, no fiber diet which can be very effective in preventing obstructions.
