Yellow Bowel Movements, very bright yellow liquid diarrhea...

Question:
My sister has really bad Crohn's, and only recently has found a good doctor. Today, however, I began to have some concerns about my own digestive health. Up until this time I've always attributed these problems to the fact that I have no gallbladder, but now I'm not so sure. ?So I'm going to tell you what's up with me, and you tell me whether I'm in the right place to get support for it (P.S. Please copy your posts to me via email. Occasional bouts of loose stools, usually when I'm under stress. ?This symptom was at its worst when I was going through conflicts at work - a coworker was monitoring my lunch hours (the ) and turning me in for coming back even five minutes late. ?During this time, I would go to lunch, bolt my food, and get back to my desk in time, but within half an hour, I would have to spend 10 or so minutes answering nature's call. The shits would come on thusly: The feeling that a knife was being stuck into my lower abdomen just above the pubic bone?Really painful. (That pain would go away whether or not I went to the bathroom, incidentally - it's just that it went away faster when I went.) In the absence of severe stress, I occasionally had the same type of pain as above, but ONLY after lunch, and ONLY on workdays, and ONLY if I ate a big lunch after skipping breakfast. ?This can happen no matter what I eat, but fried foods and/or uncooked or crispy-cooked vegetables cause the worst problems. Occasionally feeling as if I've been run over by a truck (whole body hurts) for a day or two at a time and hot flashes which go away after a couple trips to the john (bright yellow liquid diarrhea). These problems disappear for weeks or months at a time, then return without warning.

Answer:
After talking to a doc talk to your boss and explain. ?If He/She is half human the will let you make up any extra time after your regular hours...then you can actually tell that she's a . Urgency after eating is a common thing with many diseases (I hesitate to call them diseases because not all are chronic) Beware, tho, being blanketed as IBD (irritable Bowel Disorder) because this is a class name for all the abdominal disorders. ?Almost always can be narrowed down to a specific disease. ?Intestines only transmit stretching pain. ie: gas, bloating, twisting, so pain is not necessarily serious but it is seldom ignorable and never occurs for no reason. Have you checked into food allergies? If these things go away quickly try gathering a stool sample before relapse and bringing it to a GI (your sister can probably get you in to see hers). ?The ancient art of reading bowel movements is not dead. Sorry can't offer you more. ?Not a doc. ?Seems, tho, that your sister has done the dirty work and weeded out the dead beat docs...try to get to see hers. Ruh roh! ?I'd see your sister's GI doc and at least have a consultation and see where to go from there. ?Chances are, if you ignore it, whatever it is, it will get worse. ? My mother and I both have cd and about a year ago my sister started having pain and the dr's started doing all these female related tests on her and never found anything. I told her one day ask your doctor about the possibility that you have cd. He sent her to a GI dr and guess what? She has cd too. The point of all this? HI-tail it over to your sisters GI and get checked out. My poor sister suffered for months. I wish I would have spoken up sooner.

Hey, I'm not sure how old this post is, but I myself have the exact same problem as you. I as well have my gall bladder out. I have recently been to every doctor possible, had every test done to me, and the results are still considered gall bladder related. I was told that I may just have to live with it and learn to take Immodium, which does help. I was given a prescription for a powder called Questran....taken once or twice a day its supposed to relieve symptoms, but I find it gives me gas .... so pros and cons. It's considered to be bile induced diarraeah (sp) ... and a small percentage of patients who get their gall bladder out will have this. I'm told to avoid foods that irritate me, well that means i'll prob be eating breads and pastas for the rest of my life, lol.

I needed to read up on this cause I am having the same kind of issue. I have not yet gone to the doctor but only happens to me after lunch. It does not matter heavy or light, within in minutes usually less than 30 I have to be in the restroom. It sucks cause if i am out to lunch with friends i would have to hurry them back to work or have to use the restroom all the time. I was never like this. I was a one in the morning kind of guy but the main differnce is I quit smoking. I used a pill called Chantex. I am not sure if it causes this but if smoking will heal whatever is going with me...i will pick it back up. if you read this and know of any cure please let me know.
